Kathye Kilgore was born in Colorado but was raised in the San Fernando Valley of California. She attended school at St. Charles Catholic School in North Hollywood, California.
Since moving to the Tri-Cities in 1976, Kathye has been very active in our local community. She has been a volunteer for the Kennewick Police Department (September 1976 to 2012) and has served on many community boards.
She has been actively involved with the Kiwanis Club of Kennewick, Kiwanis of the Columbia and part of the founding team of Kiwanis of Horse Heaven Hill, the Historic Downtown Kennewick Partnership, Benton County Park and Recreation Board and the Substance Abuse Administrative Board, First Night Tri-Cities, Family-a-Fair, and the Wishing Star Foundation.
Kathye’s professional career has focused on human services. She was selected to be the Director of Second Harvest of Tri-Cities from 2004 to 2012. Prior to that she was with the Washington State Migrant Council, the American Red Cross and the Tri-Cities Cancer Center.
Most important and always foremost in Kathye’ life is her family. Kathye is married to a wonderful, tolerant man and they have four daughters, two precocious granddaughters, an amazing great granddaughter and Koko and Georgia who are both rescue dogs and their 4-legged kids.
